Another winner here as we get a load of a guy who is an insomniac that invades a series of support groups just to cry. After awhile, he runs across a guy who sells soap and they become friends. Such good friends after awhile that they start a group called Fight Club. The first (and second) rule of Fight Club is you do not talk about Fight Club. This club grows and grows until it has many members meeting on several nights of the week. Our hero's work ethic declines as a result, but he doesn't get fired, exactly. He does discover that Fight Club turns into something called Project Mayhem, something that his friend left him completely out of the loop on and he has no idea what is going on. Well, a little after this, we get the big twist and what a twist it is. It runs a little contrived, but explained so well that it works perfectly.
Our main characters are fairly well rounded, the lead being the center of the whole movie. He know him and are interested in what is going on. Like some movies that start slow, we start at the end before flashing back to the beginning, thereby making us wonder what the heck got them to that point.
All in all, I don't have a lot of bad thigs to say about it. It's a very clever movie with a solid premise, a clear message, and some clever characters. Definitely a top notch film.
